importing photoshop files

When I import a photoshop file (psd) with layers into motion 5 it does not appear. All the layers are there but no picture is showing

Mac mini (Late 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

THe psd has to be in RGB, not CMYK.

There are various ways to import a PSD layered graphic file.
